Monster
By Jonathan Kellerman
pg. 1 to 81

If I had to choose an animal and replace Frank Dollard with the animal, I would choose a koala. In the book it says "Dollard appeared untroubled, meaty arms at his sides, mouth serene under the tobaccoed gray mustache. His eyes were slits, but they'd been that way at the main gate." I think a koala is untroubled and is easygoing. I interpreted that quote as a reference to Dollard being easy going.

If I had to choose an animal and replace Richard Nixon with the animal, I would choose a bear. In the book it says "Towering, yellow-haired, grizzled, a listing mountain in khaki twill, he limped closer." I think a bear is a towering animal and it says that Richard was towering. I also picked a bear because Richard gets mad in the book and they have to try to calm him down, and when a bear gets mad, not much can calm it down.

Bill Romanowski
pgs. 50-100

The main and only character in my book is Bill Romanowski. He is an NFL legend at linebacker and is a very intimidating fellow. I would replace him with a bloodthirsty man-eating tiger from the Serengeti. He pounces on his victim with extreme force and hurts people and that is what he wants to do. He plans to maim runningbacks and quarterbacks alike. They are his gazelle and zebras. They are his prey.
One Mississippi

By: Mark Childress

pg:166

My main character is Daniel Musgrove. A kid from the North who has moved to the South. A kid transferring from night, to day. A kid going from white to black, literally. Daniel went from living in the almost all caucasian state of Indiana, to Mississippi, a state dominated by blacks. This is why I would compare Daniel to a chameleon. When people think chameleon they always think how it can change colors to match it's surroundings. It's a very adaptive animal. It changes to match it's environment. Daniel has had to adapt to his environment many times, because his dad's job is always moving. The ways of life in each of these places are worlds away it seems to their previous home. Daniel is a great chameleon.

I would choose either a fox or a cat for the Alex Rider because he is a quick leaner and is very sly. He was able to sneak around the mansion without being caught, and he went though spy training for 3 week and learned everything he needed to know in that time. I would choose a toad for Mr. Sayle because he is short and fat and a "slimy" rich guy. I would choose a fish for Mr. Grin because he can't talk because he doesn't have a tongue so he isn't able to make any noise.
The Choice
Nicholas Sparks
pg. 50
If my charasters had to be animals, I would make Travis a dog. He is very nice and kind to anyone. He also seems like he will very loyal. When Gabby is rude to him he doesn't be mean right back he is calm and just takes it which is a dog characteristic, I think. Gabby would be a cat, though. She comes off as rather timid and shy, but then all the sudden lashes out. This characteristic of her's reminds me of a cat.

Snakehead

Anthony Horowitz

Pg 50.

The main charater in my book is Alex Rider. If i were to change him to an animal i think i would change him too a tiger. Tigers are a very fast animal that can attack almost anything and kill it. They are also sneaky though because they have to sneak up to their pray. A tiger is a killer that can fend for itself and do harm to other animals if it needs too. Alex is a very phisically fit kid. He is strong and very agile. If alex needs to be sneaky he can be. Also is alex is in any danger he can most likley get out of it because he is very defensive and knows how to fight. The other characters in my book are Mrs. Jones and Allan Blunt. they are MI6 agents that work in offices all day. i would compare them both too an owl. They can be vicious if they need to be but they are very smart and dont come out a lot.

The things they carried

by Tim O'Brian

pg 128, october 29th

In my book the main character is telling a story about the Veitnam war. He tells of all of the things he and his squad did and saw. If I could change the people in my book to animals I would chose the main character Tim to be a turtle. He seems to not do anything except tell stories and i think turtles are very boring. Jimmy is the leader in Nam, so he would be a bear. He is strong but sometimes he doesnt know if his thoughts areright for the squad. Dave would be a snake. He is quick and very sneaky when it comes to war. All of the people have the same feeing that the natives are not human and they are partanimal.

Just Listen
Sarah Dessen
Pg. 145
Annabell, would be a bunny. She seems innocent, but really she listens to everything that is said around her when she's not supposed to listen. Kristen would be a little bird. She has an eating disorder, and bird don't eat much but seed. She used to be the size of a normal teenage girl and now she looks like a skeleton and has a sunken in face. Whitney would be an opossum because she worries about things that she has no control over and she , in a way, plays dead. Their parents would be like Mama Bear and Popa Bear. They care about their cubs and would do anything for them.
Ismael
pg.105

I would have to say that the main character would have to be a turkey, because he is very smart and doesnt move a lot, and talks a lot.
The Special Prisoner
Jim Lehrer
pg: 150

If i could choose any animal to portray Henry, the main character, i would have to chose a bald eagle. Bald eagles represent our country as a whole, as well as honor and dignity. He show's this aspect not only by simply being in the military, but not giving in to the japanese as they torture him so rigurously. One day the japanese force all of their prisoners to yell "Roosevelt's dead! Hip, hip, hooray!" He is the only one who doesnt say it, and he pays the price, and his stomach is scarred forever. The leader of the japanese at the camp's nickname is literally the hyena, so well i guess i would have to say he most resembles a hyena. The people called him the hyena because of the way he laughs.

I would put the main character Ben Campbell as a Lion. He can be really mean and hurtful but by the end of the book he was calm and had changed. With lions they can be mean but they also can lay around like a house cat and do nothing. I think his girlfriend Eden is like a hamster. They have energy and are outgoing but at the same time they are always calm and cool. Eden was outgoing and very energetic but when she was with Ben she was calm and very down to earth. Ben's brother David would be a snake. He was nice in the beginning but by the end he was so evil and a bad influence that he was like a snake because he was quiet when he snuck around but the bad influence part would be the venom of the snake because he hurt a lot of people. The other main character Jason is mean and has a bad attitude but at the end of the book he had changed into a nice kid and got along with everyone I would descride him as a doberman pincher. They can be really mean but if cared for right and trained right they can be really nice.
Sniper

pg 88

Ben is the main character and he lives on a big cat reserve. While his parents are away he has to take care of the big cats with a few handlers. When someone breaks in and kills two of the lion he must take charge to find out who killed them. I think he is like a young lion left in charge of all the other lions in his pride and must find a way to survive and keep his pride safe. that's basically what Ben is doing as a human he is trying to take care of the animals while his parents are away. He must feed and protect the animals at the preserve just like a lion protecting his pride.

Rachel Crouch
Cross by James Patterson
pg.243
In my book there are about three really important characters. There is Cross, who used to work on murder cases but eventually gave it up after his wife was murdered. There is the Butcher, who is one of the many psychos that Cross had been trying to put away while he was on the force. Finally there is Sampson, Cross's old partner who has been asking for his help lately on a case he can't crack. If I had to make these guys into animals I would have to make Cross into a fox because he is very clever and able to get what he needs. The Butcher would have to be a koala bear because he seems like a kind guy but he will really rip you to shreds when he gets the chance. Sampson would have to be a bear because he's he's a big guy but he's smart too. None of the guys in my book are really who they seem to be like these animals.
The Hour I First Believed
Wally Lamb
Pg. 322

There are really only two main characters in my book, Caelum and Maureen(Mo). Caelum is very over-protective of Mo and follows her around and hovers a lot. He reminds me of a dog. He is loyal and just wants the attention he used to have. When Maureen makes him mad, he usually snaps at her by making rude remarks. Mo is a very whiney and lost character. She complains and complains, and I kind of imagine her with a really annoying voice. With all of these traits, I see her as a goat. Since the shootings, she has become addicted to drugs and doesn't want much to do with other people.

A Northern Light
Jennifer Donnelly
pg. 48

I just started this book two days ago, so I don't know the characters that well. I guess I would make Mattie's father a big mean dog, because he is always grumpy and works a lot. I would make mattie and Weaver owls, because they both love learning and reading, and owls are very wise. Also, Mattie is hiding a secret, and I always thought of owls as being secretive animals. I would make Abby a rabbitt because she is quiet and calm. Lou would be a houndog, because she is a tomboy who likes to go fishing and do stuff that houndogs do.

There are many characters in my book that could represent animals...Ramon and his friends would be represented by a snake. Roman and his friends would be considered snakes because they are good immortals gone bad or immortal rouges as the book calls them. Each rouge has a tattoo of a snake biting his tail on them, so a snake is the best choice for Roman and his friends. Damen and Ever would be represented a fox because they can get around easily without being caught. Damon and Ever have to try really hard to keep their immortal seceret, a seceret...Foxes are sneaky and that is why Damen and Ever are considered foxes. Jude would be represented by a dog because he is very nice and loyal just like dogs are.

Roses are Red
By James Patterson
p. 183
I would change the main villian in the story to a hyena, because they are a freaky animal that have a weird laugh. The villian is sick minded, and he likes to laugh at Alex Cross because he knows everything that Alex is doing. I would make Alex an eagle, because he fights crime for a living. His job protects the country from bad people like "The Mastermind" (villain) and he has to be very courageous and brave. His job really shows the pride for his country, and the eagle is a big symbol of pride.
Boot Camp
Todd Strasser
p220

The main character is rebelious so I would say he would be a lion. The Camp Advisor, Joe, would be a bear becuase he is so mean. Pauly, the friend, would be a monkey because he is pretty wimpy. And Sarah would be a female lion because she is also very rebelious.
Hanna Feller
Honey, Baby, Sweetheart
By: Deb Caletti
Pg. 100
The main character in my book is Ruby. She is very protective of her mother and her little brother Chip Jr. If I were to replace her with an animal I would choose a snake, because if something goes wrong she is there to punish the person who did it. And she is very cauious of the things aruond here. She can be kind and carefree sometimes too. Travis, her boyfriend is the " bad boy" type of guy and is trying to persuade her to do things she's never done before, such as break into stranger's houses and steal their things. I would have him be a raccoon, because he doens't look like he would be the type of person to steal things, but he is.
Skeleton Key
Anthony Horowitz
pg 134

Alex, I would replace with a lion. He is courageous and strong, and has catlike reflexes. I would replace Jack Starbright with a bird because she always seems to be squawking. Jack is always upset when Alex is drug back into the spy business and honestly wishes he would just say no to MI6. Mr. Blunt would be a turtle. He is slow and unemotional while Mrs. Jones would be a horse because she is easily spooked. Sabina would be replaced with a kitten. She is kind, playful, and oh so curious about Alex's other life.

Exicutioner

Bennet

pgs 97-end

if i were to replace my character with an animals i would change it to a deer because he is scared and is being hunted by someone trying to kill him. he is really skiddish and always thinks someone is following him. he loses his friends like deer lose their moms or friends during hunting season. i would change the character that is trying to kill him to a lion because he is very sneaky and he stalks his prey before he goes in for the kill. he watches the first victim for a week before he kills him. And he is relentless he never gives up a kill even if it gets away sometimes.
Illegal procedure

pg.123

If I were to pick an animal to replace the main characters Joe and frank I would choose a tiger. I would choose this because they are spying on the guys in charge if a football team. They have to spy on them to figure out the truth and then attck the men and solve the problem. So i related it to a tiger as when they have to stalk their prey then attck for their meal.

Songs of the Humpback Whale
by Jodi Picoult
pg 262
I think Oliver, the husband, is the easiest one to place. He would be a whale because he spends so much time with them more than his family. He seems to understand them so much better than humans. I would make Jane a puppy because she usually follows her husband around, but sometimes she gets distracted and wants to do her own thing. I think Rebecca is the hardest one, but I decided she could be a cat. She is usually nice, gentle, and loves life, but when she gets angry her "claws" come out or she'll run away.

Chads Blog

I would replace both main characters with hyenas because they are strong willed and "hunt" together or help each other if needed. They both get done what needs done and do a great job with it. They never give up at what they do and get it done. They work odd hours of the day whenever they are needed. They work together greatly and both benefit from each others knowledge. They feed off of each other success. One of them will find information by interviewing someone and then the other one will get more information and they will share it and get the job done faster, or get to the bottom of the story faster. They will help each other at any time of the day, she called him and came to his house at three in the morning to give him important information.

Night in Rodanthe
By: Nicholas Sparks
pg.72

The main character in my book is Adrienne Willis, who is a middle-aged divorced woman. She has four kids and spends some of her time working at the library to get an income, but mostly at home watching over her teens. Adrienne is like a mother bear; she spends all of her time looking after her kids and protecting them from danger. Another character in this book is Paul Flannery. He is one of the top surgeons in the nation and spends all of his time working. His wife and son leave him because he's never around anymore. I would describe Paul as a bee. Like a bee he works all the time to provide food and necessities for his family. The only time he isn't working is when he's eating or sleeping even then he doesn't spend too much time doing those things.
Sydney Boyle
Hide and Seek

p.91

Lissa is sixteen and feels like her father does not love her; she is like a lost puppy looking for a home. Constantly she tries to get his attention, but he never even cares to notice her. She tries to impress him and become like what she thinks is an ideal daughter and every time she fails. Her father is a painter and is constantly working on his masterpieces which allows no time for his family and/or other activities. He locks himself in the barn and when he does emerge he is either stressed or crabby. I would compare Lissa's father to a rat on the move. He thinks only of himself and is always on a mission to create more for him. His life revolves around money and food. Other than that nothing else really matters in her father's life.

Such a Pretty Girl By Laura Wiess Nellie Wilson Page 91 Period 7

Ever since I started to read this book it has been very hard to put it down. Thanks Mrs. Sheffield!! So far Meredith is a fifteen girl who's father was sent away for nine years. Now, he is home just after three years. Meredith is afraid her father will do the same things to her and other children before he got sent away. Meredith reminds me of puppy. She needs love, that she never gets at her own home; and support, just knowing she will be safe even when her father may be near her and other children. Her father reminds me of a tiger, he will do whatever it takes to get what he wants and get out of trouble, if he would get caught. Like when he got sent to prison for nine years for Child Molesting. Her mother reminds me of a Dog because she will do anything to keep her reputation in tack. Meredith's mom told Meredith that she would run away with her father, if she had told lies to he police. Her boyfriend, Andy, is like a cat who lost his legs in a accident after his own father died in a car accident. He bounces, does what he is told and takes care of Meredith, even though he needs more caring for than Meredith.
The Da Vinci Code
Dan Brown
Pg. 325

There are a few main characters in the book. Robert Langdon, Sophie Neveau, Silas, and Bezu Fache. If I were to compare Robert Langdon to an animal I would compare him to a chimp because he is very smart. He is a symbology teacher at Harvard and he knows pretty much everything about history. Chimps are very smart and would be a good fit to Langdon. Sophie Neveau could be compared to a fox because she helps Robert Langdon escape difficult scenarios and is very sneaky. She helped Robert escape from the Louve after Bezu Fache tried to accuse him of murdering the museum curator. Foxes are sneaky and it would fit her well. Silas is most like a tiger. He spends all of his time hunting down people and killing them. He is always by himself and that is how tigers hunt. Bezu Fache is like a bear. He uses force to get everything he wants and he tries to hunt Robert Langdon. He is the chief of the police and a bear is like the "chief" of the woods.
Hit and Run
Lurlene McDaniel
pg. 180
There are four main characters in my book; Analise, Laurie, Quin, and Jeremy. If I had to choose an animal for Analise I would choose a cat. She is so so nice and sweet. When coming home from babysitting one night she is hit by a car and is later found and taken to a hospital. She was in a coma and had to rest peacefully on a bed, like what a cat sometimes does. I would choose a spider for Laurie. She knows that Quin hit Analise that night but she doesn't tell anyone for a long time. She was in hiding and then finally came out to tell someone, like a spider. I would choose a deer for Quin because he thought he hit a deer that night, but really it was Analise. Also because he is always running around doing different things like going to parties and hanging out with friends. And for Jeremy, I would choose a puppy. He was so sad when Analise got in that accident and he always wanted to be with Analise when she was in the hospital.
Elizabyth Ladwig
Viola in Reel Life
Adriana Trigiani
pg. 221
If I were to replace Viola with an animal, I would have to choose a chameleon. She tries to blend in when she's in a crowd and doesn't like to be the center of attention. But when someone "spots" her, it's hard not to keep looking. She has a knack for filming movies and putting them together and is a pretty pleasant person to be around. And like the chameleon's many changing colors, she always has something new and snarky to say, so it's always interesting for the people around her.

Prince of Dreams

Paige Boston
Prince Of Dreams
by Lisa Kleypas
pg 291

If I was to replace the main characters in this book as animals, I would make Prince Nikolas Angelovsky a tiger and Emma Stokehurst/Angelovsky a wolf. Nikolas is compared to a tiger numerous times throughout the book, both in his physical and mental characteristics. He is large and strong, with yellowish eyes and long, golden colored hair. He is considered dangerous and is feared by many for his harsh, cold manner, yet people are still fascinated by him and want to get close to him. He tries to conceal his emotions and dominate others, but only Emma brings out his true nature. Emma is independent and strong willed like a wolf, and pursues causes that everyone else scorns, such as animal rights. She can be gentle and affectionate, and when she is happy she enjoys surrounding herself with people. When she is angry, she verbalizes her emotions and isolates herself from others like a lone wolf.
Soldier Boy

P132-end

Well the animal that would fit most of my characters in the book would be a wolf. I choose this animal for the characters because wolves fight hard and tough. Wolves are animals that are in a group. In the story Johnny was in the army and the army is like a group of people or a family. They teach the others what they need to know to survive from this war. J0hnny was the toughest one from the pack. He sticks up for what he believes in. Johnny is the youngest one there. So I would say all the characters in this story is would be like a pack of wolves. This pack of wolves was after another pack of wolves.

Please stop laughing at me. Jodee Blanco

I would switch out the main character Jodee into a lion cub. Mostly because she gets picked on alot by other students. I would also switch out the other students into hyenas. The reason why i chose those animals is because of the movie Lion King. In some parts of the movie Simba gets caught and almost killed by the pack of hyenas. The way the hyenas treated Simba is how they students in my book treated Jodee.

Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult Pg. 235

If I could pick a character to be a certain animal it would be Shay. I would say he was like a bear he can big and scary and strong. But when it comes to saving a life he loves before he is sentence to the death penalty for double homicide he wants to donate his hear to a little girl who is the sister to the victim. You see he is like a bear because he can do damage but like a bear he is big soft and look innocent and that shows when he tries to donate his heart to this girl.

One For The Money Pg.92

I would describe Stephanie Plum as a lion because she is a bounty hunter . And she has to capture people who break the law and do not show up for court. She is on a mission and she showed up to dinner with her family one night and they noticed all the bruises and scratches on her body. So I see her as a lion because she has to be tough and do her job and it is a hard job and Lions always get there prey and always get what they want. That is how I would describe stephanie if she were an animal.

Brandon's Post

If I had to change every character to an animal I would change the main character to a bird because he gets high alot and when he gets high he thinks he's a bird and he fly's up above the world and just looks down on everything. I would change his dad to a rhyno because he is a hard @$$. I would change his mom to a cat because she is all lovey dovey and cares about people. Thats about it no other characters in the book yet.

Whatever happened to Janie By Carolyn B. Coony

If I had to change the characters to animals , I would change Janie into a llama because she tends to get mad easily like llamas do. I would change the "parents" to dogs because they are very protective of Janie.
Sarah-Charlotte would be changed into a donkey because she wants to have all the attention all the time.
This would make the story a lot more interesting for teenagers because they will be able to put it from their point of view.  Meaning the characters would figure out how to deal with each situation based on the description. For instance, Janie lost her temper over cookies and the whole thing turned into a fight between her "siblings" The parents are over protective of Janie in many ways, for example they hardly let her call her real parents on the phone because she doesn't live with them anymore.  Sarah-Charlotte is Janie's friend who wants to be the center of attention. She wants to be the popular girl in school by "acting up". Janie often has an attitude problem through out portions of the book.  In many ways she's like an average teenager, but in other ways she is totally different from the average teenager because of the way she deals with everyday situations.

Tell No One
Harlan Coben
End of Book

I would label the main character Beck as a regular house dog. He's a doctor so it would be a dog of high standards, but he's just a regular guy to everyone that comes in contact with him. However, he is also a person who buries his secrets and covers his tracks, just like a dog would do when burying a bone. He would represent a dog well because on the outside he seems perfectly normal, but inside there is a lot more going on that no one knows about. His wife would be a fly. She can disappear without a trace, but when she wants to be noticed, she annoys those that want her gone, or in her case, dead. A fly is also sneaky as it goes from one place to another and also very adaptable to those surroundings. Beck's wife does this very well as she disappears and reappears after eight years.
Over and Under
by Todd Tucker
pg. 93
If I were to replace the two main characters, who are both boys about 15 years old, I would probably have them be little birds. They are always finding everything out and sneaking into places that they shouldn't be in to. For example, when the workers of a major factory are on strike, two of the strikers blow up a section of the factory. The two boys had never expected to see this happen when they had decided to sneak out of the house that night.
19 Minutes
Jodi Picoult
Pg. 324

I would classify Peter as a mouse because he is a very quiet boy and is always getting bullied. He attempts to try to run away from the bullies, but he never succeeds. The bullies in this book I would classify as cats (Drew Griard, Matthew Royston, John Eberhard, Emma Alexis, Maddie Shaw and Courtney Ignatio) they are always bullying someone. Not necessarily Peter all of the time, but other "geeks" as well. Cats always chase around mice, so that is why I think they would a cat would be the best fit for those characters. I would consider Josie a chicken because she is afraid of being friends with Peter because she is afraid of what he friends might think of her. Chickens always have a tendancy to run away from people coming towards them, well Josie had the same problem because she runs away from Peter because she is afraid of being judged by her friends. I would say that Alex Cormier (Josie's Mom) would be a horse because she is a very dominant person and gets what she wants. Horses are very big and can tromple over almost anything, since Alex is a judge she has control over what happens in the case she is dealing with, just like how horses have control over whatever they want because they are such a big animal. Lacey (Peter's Mom) would be an ant because she is a very small person and is afraid to stand up to other people. While ants do not want to be killed they hide in small cracks so that no one can find them, Lacey does this by hiding in her house not wanting to talk to anyone about her son and the killings he had done at Sterling High School.
Million-Dollar Throw
Mike Lupica
Pg. 103
I would choose a mole for Abby because they cant see very well. I also picture Abby to be a small figure, but not fat. Nate would be a deer because they have there good and bad days. Deers either get shot, or shot at. Nate has a bad game. Deers make another day. Nate has his good games. For Nates parents I would choose rabbits because once you touch a baby rabbit, the parents dont really care as much. Nats parents are there, but it rellly does not seem like it much. Thats all the main characters for now anyways.

Book blog

Roses are red
James Patterson
P 1- 87
I chose this book because I like the way James Patterson writes, and it is one of the few of his books that i have not read yet. I expect it to be full of action, fun to read, and not boring in any way. Like his other books, i think i will get hooked on it and finish it very quickly. Also, it should be a great book to do a good trailer on.

Smack Nellie Wilson

This book I choose bacause it was a book I normally would never read or look at. This book doesn't really meet my expectations. The book started off really good then just dried up. This book could of been a little better. The characters could have been explained a little bit better. The language in the book is confusing and hard to understand, the author could have done a better job of clearing all this up, so it would have been easier to read.

Pork Chop Hill

I chose Pork Chop Hill because it sounded interesting at the time. As of right now it is a little boring so I will be changing my book to Hunting Booger Bottom.

Quarter 2

I picked my book because the cover of the book looked really good and when i read the summary it sounded suspenseful so i picked it up and started reading the first few pages and i got really into it and continued reading it and liked it. I believe it meet my standards well i wanted a book that kept up with my level and kept me reading it i liked it well.

The executioner

Pg 1-97

i choose this book because it look good and had a cool title. It wasn't what i exspected but it is really good i thought it would be like a serial killer mystery but it is about a drunken driver dieing and a person coming and killing the people who rode in the car with him. it is great.
Soldier Boy
Brian Burks
pg.132

I choose this book cause it looked a little intresting and also it wasn't that long. It delt with army kind of stuff and boxing. Which i herd about this and i thought it would bhe a good book for me to read. This book was all that i thought it would be. It had some if the stuff like i was saying earlier with the army and boxing. But for the boxing so far there is only to fighting sceans. From that it all about these two kids who joins the army and it wasn't what they thought it wouldn be like. They didn't have a great life. So they dacides to join the army. So ya it did come from what i expected but I wish there would be more to it.

pg 196

I chose this book because both my mom and grandma read it and recomended it to me. It is better than I thought it would be when I started. The first few pages were kind of slow, but it quickly improved and I'm enjoying it a lot. The characters are very well developed and I can relate to their emotions and actions. I like how fast the book is moving, and there are lots of twists to keep me interested.

Illegal precedure

I picked this book because its about football and has a mystery to it. I really enjoy books about sports and mysteries always keep me in a book. So far it has been a really good book. I'm looking forward to reading more and figuring out the rest of the story.
Tyler Book
The Da Vinci Code
By Dan Brown
Pg. 155

I picked this book because I had heard that it was a good book and it sounded interesting to me. Also, have read one of Dan Brown's other books and I really liked it, so I figured I would try another one. This book is the best book I have ever read and I am only a fourth of the way finished with it. I picked it expecting something that would keep me reading and keep me wondering what happens next. This book does just that and more. It is very interesting and I have learned a lot from it. It is like a story plus it has lessons about cool things nobody would ever think of. I'm very impressed with this book so far. It has met every expectation I have had.
Skeleton Key
Anthony Horowitz
pg 1-65

I chose Skeleton Key because I have already started the Alex Rider series. I want to continue reading the series because they are exciting and keep my attention, which most stories don't. This book has kept me hooked so far so it is meeting my expectations. I hope that the story isn't predictable since I've already read some of the books.

Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz

I chose Stormbreaker because Emily read it for the last book project and said it was really good. I also read this book because it is really short so I will get it done before the book project is due. It is also a fast pace book and it is very exciding. It is meeting my expectations. I knew it would be exciding because most books with spies in them are pretty exciding.

Change of Heart By Jodi Picoult

I picked this because Jodi Picoult is by far my favorite author her books always keep interested. So far I haven't really decided if i like it because I don't like how each chapter is said named by the person that is talking. It kinda confuses me some of the chapters are very short and then it changes into someone else and sometimes talking about something it can be hard to follow. It has not been as good as other one's she had written only because I like the other writing style she used in ones I have read.

Romo
Pgs. 1-50

This book is a autobiography of Bill Romanowski, a legendary linebacker in the NFL. I chose this book because I hate reading and if I have to read something it might as well be something that interests me. This book so far has fit my expectations. It has been dry up to this point, but I expect that it will get better, or at least I hope. It gives signs of being a good book, like foreshadowing and flashbacks. This book shows promise.
Sniper
by Theodore Taylor
Sniper is a book i randomly pulled off the shelf and it has a good cover that seemed interesting. I looked through a few pages and decided that it would work for the movie trailer. I don't really have any expectations for the book as long as it doesn't get boring or really complicated. The only reason that I'm reading this book is because i have to for class.
The chronicles of Vladmir Tod
I chose this book because my mother is a librarian and it is a series of vampire books that she wanted an opinion on so I agreed to read them for her.

The Choice

I chose this book because I really enjoyed the last Nicholas Sparks book I read. I've also heard that this is a really good book, your typical Nicholas Sparks, but still good. I like the book alright so far. It is still starting to open so I don't really know that much about the characters yet. Although I'm not sure it's not opening very well so I may have to find another book.

The Things they Carried
Tim O'Brian
page 1-76

I chose my book because i needed a new book. It is one of Mrs.Sheffields and it looked better than all of the other books. i would not be reading it if I had a book picked out but this book is pretty good so far. I enjoy this book because it is about the Veitnam war and the men that where in it. I really enjoy this book.

Snakehead
Anthony Horowitz
Pg. 1-50

I chose Snakehead by Anthony Horowitz because it is the next book in my series. I have read the previous six Alex Rider books. They have all grabbed my attention from the first page. I really like these books because they keep my interest all the way to the end. The action and detail in the books are just insane. Right now this book is definatly meeting my expectations and i think it will keep that up untill the end. When i read the book i dont want to put it down because the author does a great job capturing my attention. I hope that after i finish this book i can read the final book of the series. I think that it will do just the same as the rest and be amazing.

Monster
By Jonathan Kellerman
pg. 1 to 20(starting reading on Tuesday)

I chose this book on Mrs. Sheffield's book shelf. I forgot my other book that day and I needed a book so I just grabbed one. I always thought I would never like to read about a murder mystery, but once I read the back, it sounded very interesting. I just grabbed the book and didn't even look at the title until I sat down in my seat. I am liking the book so far. The only thing that is wierd about the book is that the author doesn't use punctuation sometimes. So you can be reading a sentence that will take up a whole paragraph. You can tell where the punctuation is supposed to be, but it is still wierd. I am willing to deal with that because I like the book so far.
Fallan Stark
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time
by Mark Haddon

I chose this book because I needed a book to read in class so I looked on Mrs. Sheffield's bookshelf and thought it looked interesting. I also was just looking for a book at the time because I finished mine and was just planning on just reading it in class, but after reading a little bit of it I decided that I liked it and will do my book project over it. I didn't really have any expectations for it, but so far so good.

Shelby Werts

Just Listen By Sarah Dessen
Pg. 1-56
I chose this book because someone told me to read it. They said i would like it and so far I do.
The girl in the book is easy to relate to. She seems like she would be easy to get long with if she was going to our school. This book is better than i was expecting. It keeps my attention and makes me want to keep reading even when I'm tired. Annabel's life seems complicated and messed up and the book makes me want to jump in and help her with everything.
Elizabyth Ladwig
Viola in Reel Life
pg. 1-86
I chose this book because the synopsis on the inside cover seemed really interesting. It also seemed like it would be easier to do a book project on. The book is turning out to be really good. It's moving a little to fast though. The author went from describing the main character's first day at a new school to a month later. But other than that, it's a really good book.
Tess Ory
Hit and Run
Lurlene McDaniel
pg. 1-67
I chose this book because it was recommended by a couple other people. I knew that it was about teenagers and I enjoy reading about teenagers and relating the book to my own life. I like to read about the struggles and battles that other kids in high school face. This book is better than what I expected. There is more suspense and mystery in it which makes you want to keep reading. I thought it was going to be kinda boring, but I am really enjoying this book. I also thought it was going to be a little confusing since it is being told from four different points of view, but it is easy to catch on to the characters and it is easy to follow. I really like this book so far and am thinking about reading more books by this author.

Quarter 2, Blog 1

Shadowland
Alyson Noel
pg. 1-280

Shadowland is the 3rd book in the Immortal Series. I chose this book because I wanted to continue reading this series. The books out of this series so far have been exciting and suspenseful. It is hard to put these books down once you begin reading them. I was excited to learn what was going to happen next in Ever's life after reading the 2nd book. I have already read a good chunk of this book and have loved every page. The plot is suspenseful and every turn of the page keeps you guessing. The author keeps you reading to figure out how the book will end, and I like that very much. The book keeps you guessing all the way through and pieces of Ever's life slowly start to unfold. I definitely like this book so far.

Sydney Boyle

Hide and Seek
Jane McFann
pg. 1-47

I chose this book because it is a mystery, and it looked suspenseful and intriguing. I enjoy reading mysteries because they jump out and grab the reader usually. Hide and Seek is not as good as I thought it would be right now. The way the author set up the plot confuses me slightly because he jumps from flashback to present in every chapter. It is one of those books where you never really get the whole story line until the end. Hopefully, it starts picking up pace in the next few chapters.
Amber Logemann
Nights in Rodanthe
By: Nicholas Sparks
Pg.1-57

I chose this book because I really like the author Nicholas Sparks and I've read many of his books before and really liked them. I also chose this book because many people have told me its a good movie, so I expected the book to be good too. Right now the book is getting off to a slow start and not keeping my interest, but I have a feeling that it will turn out to be a great book just like all of his other novels.

Chad

I chose this book because it was about football and I like to read books about football. I love to read any kind of sports book and this was one that was available and the back cover sounded good. Parkers book trailer was also a major contributor. Parker also told me how the book was and what it was about so I decided to read it. Half way through the book it is good so far. There needs to be more football but I don't think there will be. They also include famous football players which is cool.
The Hour I First Believed
Wally Lamb
47-238

I chose this book because I had previously read a non-fiction book on the Columbine High School shooting, and Mrs. Sheffield recommended it to me. I also chose it because I wanted a more serious story to read that was not full of teenage love. I expected this book to have some action, and talk more about the shootings. I also expected it to be more interesting. Right now it just seems like all the characters do is whine about how much they hate life. I expected something like this, but I didn't expect pages and pages of Caelum and his wife fighting and crying.

Songs of the Humpback Whale
By Jodi Picoult
pg 135

I chose to read this book because I have heard many good things about Jodi Picoult's books. I have only read one other of her books and I really enjoyed it. This was the first Jodi Picoult book I saw on Mrs. Sheffield's bookshelf, so I decided to read it. I think the book is good, but not as good as I thought it would be. The last book of hers I read was so entertaining I couldn't put it down. This book seems to go on forever. When I read 3 pages it feels like 10. I like the story line, but it's told out of place. It took awhile for me to follow what's happening. I'm wondering why the author wrote it like this, and if it will make the book end well.
Honey, Baby, Sweetheart
Deb Caletti
Pg. 40
I chose this book because it looked intersting. The book I previously read had this book's first chapter in it to read. I liked the last book I read, so I figured I might like this one as well. So far I like it, because each chapter leaves you wondering what the author will come up will next. But the only things i dislike is that each chapter it starts off with a different topic, instead of just continuing on with what had previously happened. I like to read about relationships and things like that, and this book is pretty much all about those things.

One For The Money By Janet Evanovich Pg.33

I chose this book because it looked interesting and everybody in my family reads these books and they liked them . So I thought I might give it a try. And when I read the back of it made me interested and it kind of reminded me of the movie the bounty hunter. so far it is pretty interesting but it is kind of boring right now but they are just in the beginning they are just talking about the money and how much he will get for capturing her.

"Please stop laughing at me" Jodee Blanco

I chose this book, becuase Mrs. Smurdel read it and we had discussions on it. When she finnished it I decided I would read it because it sounded good. I started to read it and couldnt stop. It was such a good book, I finnished it in about a week. It was all I could think about, and my focus was put all into it. There would be parts where it was intense and it hurt the main person, and I could literally feel the emotional pain she went through. It was very detailed and intense. I would recommend this book to anyone.
Boot Camp
p. 200
I picked this book because I thought it was about the army and army stories interest me. The book isn't about the army or any form of the army really. It is about a bad boy who gets sent to a facility to help children or teens with their problems and get them back on the right track. I think that the book is pretty good. It isn't very boring anything and keeps my attention.

What happened to Janie By carolyn B. Cooney

I chose this book because the first book I read was about Janie piecing together how she got kidnapped as a young child. In this book, she knows her real parents, but is still trying to piece together the facts.  This book has kept me wondering what will happen next as i continue to read on towards the end of the book. This book also keeps the reader asking questions about what will happen next later on in the book.

Million-Dollar Throw
Mike Lupica
Pg. 48
I chose Million-Dollar Throw by Mike lupica because I like his work. I have read almost every book in his series and the books are actually enjoying to me. Its kind of slow right now, but I know as it gets going it will be a good book like all his others are. There are about 3 left in the series right not and I plan on reading all those as well.

I chose this book because it looked easy to make a video about. I do think that it is 'going as I expected'. The setting is an easy one to come up with and the characters are normal boys.
Nineteen Minutes
Jodi Picoult
Pg. 105

I chose to read this book because a lot of people I know have read it and they said they liked the book a lot. Also, I have heard that Jodi Picoult was a very good writer as well. She got an award for this book it was the New York Times Best Seller, so I knew it would be worth to read. So, by knowing all of this I decided to read it because it sounded like a very good book! My friends said the book was about a school shooting and how everyone deals with their losses and what to do with the criminal who started the shooting. I thought it might be interesting to read this book because you could see what the people would do in the situation when someone was killed and how they deal with everything all at once. You also get to see the point of view of the shooter and how he reacts to the whold situation. So far this book is what I had expected it to be, it is filled with suspense, love, bullying, and also friendship. So, overall this book has been very good and it is hard to put down sometimes because I get so caught up in the book because it gets very suspenseful!

Tell No One
Harlan Coben
page 240

I selected this book because it caught my eye right away. It's neon orange with the title as the only thing on the front. The inside cover explained a suspenseful story involving murder and lies, so it seemed like a pretty good book to read that would keep my attention. So far the book has kept my attention because there are a lot of plot twists. It is also a lot different than I originally thought it would be. I thought it was all going to be about the murder of his wife, but there is so much more to the story that makes it very interesting to read. It does meet my expectations because it has more substance to it than the inside front cover tells you nothing about.

The Notebook

The character i think the most who has changed in the book is alli. She has changed since she is engaged and she she quit drawing and doing her favorite things. But when she sees noah everything changes she wants to do all that stuff. And her whole life goes away when she is with noah she forgets aboout her finance and is off in this whole other world.

I think that Gean changed the most. As he goes back to the old town he knew before it seems like he doesn't know the person he used to be. He remebers good times with his friends and enjoys them, but he's not like that anymore. It is like he has experienced something in life that has made him sadder and less willing to try new things.

The Game of My Life
By: Jason McElwain

Jason McElwain the main character and author of my book has changed the most. He has autism ,and when he was little it made him shy. He did not have very good social skills. He would sit in the corner at school ,and hide under the table. He played by himself all the time excluding when he was with is brother Josh. As he got older though, he broke his shell and was one of the most popular kids at Greece Athena High. After the game of his life, overnight he became the most popular kid in the country.

Friday Night Lights

My book does not discuss characters in the present tense, because of the style of book. When the auther does reflect on a character, he tells of their personal life when they were a child or their personality and behaviors toward different situations. I suppose that the character that changed the most was James "Boobie " Miles. The way that he changed was that he was no longer a superstar because of his injury. The author also tells of the transformation of Ivory Christian. He was a drinker and someone who hung at on the streets at all hours. He then "escaped into the cloth." He found comfort with religion and decided to pursue his dream of becoming a minister.
The Pretty One
Hanna Feller
The main character that has changed the most in my book is Megan Fletcher. After her accident and the surgerys she has gone through she changed dramtically. Not only physically, but also mentaly. She thinks now that she is more beautful than her sister, she can get the guy and the friends. It seems as if her whole personality has changed. Even her parents have notcied. She acts like a totally different person.

Trish McFarland was the main character in the book and also the character that changed the most. She gets lost for a week in the woods so she changes in many ways. Her maturity level skyrockets because she has to fend for herself. She is only nine-years old and she has to keep herself fed and warm. She also gains more respect for the beauty of the woods. Mainly, she realizes that even though her family has many flaws, she is very lucky to have two parents and a brother. Her determination creates a change in her that stays around even after she leaves the woods.

Alex Rider is the main character in my book. This is hard to talk about because this is like the 5th book in the Rider series and alex hasnt changed that much in this book. in the first book he changed from being a normal kid to a spy. This was a very dirastic change and it changed his whole life style. Now in this book he has already developed who he is and how he acts. He is a very cautious, smart, physically fit boy. He likes adventrue although sometimes it might get him killed. He never back down to a challenge. sometimes he seccond guesses himself and has doubts but he always goes through with the right thing. Alex is a great character and i think that he will keep evolving and becoming better.

After an astroid hit the moon, the world fell apart and people died from earthquakes, floods, and volcano eruptions. This has changed the weather and now and it is cold Miranda is forced to stay in a room with her family so they can all stay warm with no water or power. Miranda has changed alot in the last few months becuase of this global event. She has grown up and has had to watch her friends die. She is now a tougher person than she was before. She can handle the world and what it throws at her.

I think that Yuki has changed the most, because of all of the things she went through in this book. She is a lawyer and had a very hard case that she lost, and this was very hard on her. A reporter named Jason Twilly started to take her out on dates, but then he ended up turning into a crazy psycho stalker who would never leave her alone. One night he took her hostage, drugged her, and tried to convince herself to commit suicide. He is a really big freak and had a large impact on her life. She went from being open to everyone and outgoing to being shut down, and making sure she trusted people before she started going on dates with them. The experience changed her life, and in the end made her a stronger person.
So far i just started my book, but the most changed character is probably the Sharks football team in general. They went form a really good team to terrible, and they have the same players on the team. No one is sure why they are so bad now, The coach thinks an agent or something is affecting them. So far we dont know yet.

Alex is probably the character that changed the most in the book. He's the main focus so it's hard to see many changes in other characters. Alex matures throughout his adventure because he is challenged every day to keep his cover. Without his level of maturity, he wouldn't have made it through the first day at the Stormbreaker plant. Of course he has to change to act like the boy he is impersonating but he gains knowledge all through the book and this causes some major changes in his thinking.

The Mentor Leader
Tony Dungy
Pg. 142

There aren't really any characters in my book, so I would say the author changed the most. Tony Dungy tells about his life and how mentor leadership changed his life. He uses mentoring to help make himself a better person. He gives an example of this when he is forced to make decisions about his football coaching career. He makes decisions on what he thinks will benefit everyone best. Tony Dungy looks back at what he could change and how the decisions he made could be changed to help him. He doesn't really change during the book. It is more of him telling about how he changed in his life before he wrote the book. Its hard to explain, I guess, but he changed to help make himself a better leader and so he could help other people.

Richie perry i would say changed the most I this story. I would say this because he had to fight threw a lot in this story. So he joins the army he does this along the way. Threw out this story he grows up and realizes there a lot he can do in his life than go to college. Fallan Stark
Zig Zag- Ellen Wittlinger
Pg 133

Iris has been the most dynamic character so far. She is a snotty brat who is used to getting things her way all the time. She is learning not to constantly fight and make fun of her brother. She also has issues with her weight. She would sometimes eat barley anything or pig out. She has even tried being bulimic. Now she is eating regularly. She wasn't able to stand her cousin at first and now that they are getting to know each other she is becoming a more likable person.
Daughter of Fortune
Isabel Allende
p. 276

Eliza Sommers has changed the most. In the beginning of the book she was just a rich 19th century girl living the normal high class life. Then when she meets Joaquin Andieta, she becomes obsessed with love. She hides away on a ship, breaking all sorts of society's rules. She becomes a wandering miner in California, posing as a boy. She doesn't do anything expected from a high class girl.
A Man Named Dave
By Dave Pelzer
pg. 1 to 8 (finished previous book in trilogy)

Dave Pelzer is the character that has changed the most. When he was younger, he hated his mother. He used to call her mommy but once she started beating him, he started calling her The Mother. He went through a difficult home life and finally got enough guts to leave. He went to court and had to tell the judge that he didn't want to live at home anymore. That wouldn't have been possible if he was asked that question when he was a couple years younger. He talked to Ms. Gold who helped him understand that he wasn't a Bad Boy and he deserved better. She helped transform Dave into a man who is loving and cares. Dave is an amazing character.
Letters to God

Pg. 193
I believe that Ty has changed the most. He went from being such an energetic child, and then he got very ill. He started having very bad headaches and he was vomiting often. His mother took him to the doctor and they found out that he had brain cancer. He went from being so happy all the time and then suddenly he was terrified. He went through surgery and chemo and has been recovering well. To him, it seemed like all of this happened very quickly. He did not know what to expect, nor did his mother. Ty's personality did not change very much because he has always been a happy, outgoing, and active boy, but the things about him were changing that he could not do anything about. Ty has been brave through the whole process, and he is slowly healing after his body's drastic change.

The song of a humpback whale by jodi picoult

In book I think that Rebbecca has changed because in the begining when they talked about how she doesn't remember any of the plane crash when she was little. I thought i was more she didn't want to or didn't want to talk about when her parents asked her what happen or how she felt about it.
But now at age 15 she visits where the plane crash and it all comes back to her like she can't forget kinda of like she knew along it was a big part of her life and she is reliezeing that great that she lived. That she was the one out of 5 people to suruvie the crash. So throughout the book i think she changes her mind on the whole deal and learns that it was important in her life and what happened and how she felt can't be just something little that is put behind her.
Clockwork Angel-Tyler Sandquist
By: Cassandra Clare
Pg. 204

I think the character that has changed most throughout this story is Theresa Gray. Better known as Tessa she started off being extremely shy and not barely talking and being a young lady that used her manners every time she spoke. Throughout all the experiences she has gone through with the Shadowhunters and Downworlders she has lost that shyness and now is an outspoken young lady that speaks what she feels and is much more personal with each of the other Shadowhunters. She also has grown mentally, she now understands the world as it truly is and not as humans see it. She has grown in her experiences with love to but since she started out with no experience at all it is not much of an improvement and she is still confused about her feelings for both Will and Jem.

90 Minutes in Heaven
By Don Piper
pg. 186

At first I thought that the one character who changed the most would be the main character Don. He has always been close to God and that never changed after the accident. What did change though (besides his physical disability) is his way to reach out to others. At first he didn't want to talk about the accident and didn't want to tell others about his experience in heaven. By the end of the book he realized he could infuence others by telling about his experience, and his faith in God grew deeper. I also think the people he touched changed even more than Don did. When some people heard his story about heaven, they realized God does exist which brought about a huge change in their lives.

I think two characters have changed evenly. Caelum had to go through anger management classes, and woe his wife so that she would stop cheating on him and come back to him. He has over come his fear of going back to teaching, and is now teaching at Columbine high school. He realized this once it got to far. I would say he had changed the most, but he's already starting to go back to his old ways. Velvet is the other character that has changed. She no longer takes boys to the cemetary, and now just goes there to visit her grandfathers grave. She's starting to trust men, even though her childhood is filled with men who betrayed her, and used her. She is now willing to write stories that are graphic, but describe her life well. I think when the Columbine shootings happen, Velvet will go back to trusting no one, and Caelum will have to help her back to her normal self.

I believe that the dad (Rudyard) has changed the most. He was always frustrated and mad after he was removed from the war because of his poor eyesight. He was always in a bad mood and this changed after his son (John) had good enough eyes to make it into the war if he went to a specialist regularly. This has mad dad an extremely happy man and has a whole new outlook of life.

The character that has changed the most in my book is the main character Deet. He had always thought that anything that went wrong in his life could easily be fixed and he so learned that wasn't true. When his step dad got arrested for using illegal drugs that kept him awake while at work Deet realised that it couldn't be fixed easily. He has to help around the house more and he decides to go visit his dad in jail. Deet thinks that it going to be a dark place were everyone is a horrible person but it turns out he was completely wrong. Everyone in jail is just a regular person and has just made a mistake in there life and have a consequence to serve. He learns a lot from prison as he has a new look on life.

The character that changed the most in this book, was the character Laurie. She started off in the beginning as a shy, innocent girl who was content with being herself. Once she is asked out by a senior, and gets the feel of a popular lifestyle, her behavior and her actions change. She turns from a sweet, young girl into a mean and bossy snob. She soon realizes at the end, that this is not the way she wants to live her life. She then tries to change back into the person she was before.

Lock and Key- Sarah Dessen

The main character Ruby has changed the most. She has inspired others and she isnt the same person any more. She goes from having nothing to having everything in a matter of months. She realized halfway through it she didnt want to go back to how things were. She wanted a steady house and family and a good education. So then she finnished it and helped out the one person she didnt even know needed help. The one person was of course Nate. The one person she didnt even know had problems. But they ended up being worse than hers. She learned alot about family, and it turned out good in the long run.

The character in my book that changed the most was Grace. In the beginning of the book, she was very orderly and everything had a place. She didn't understand poetry or her mother's art. But after she met Sam face to face for the first time, she started to change. He read her poetry from his favorite author and told her that it wasn't the words that made the story, but the way the words sounded and the feeling you got when you heard them. He brought chaos into her order and unitentionally destroyed it. But it was for the better. In the end Grace becomes a better, more laid back person.

Whatever Happened to Janie? by Caroline B. Cooney

Janie has definitely opened up a lot and is more comfortable sharing her feelings with other people.  Janie has become a lot more socially involved. Although she occasionally has a tough time  dealing with all the things that have happened to her since the kidnapping. Janie and Jodie used to be like sisters, but things got out of hand after Janie completely lost her temper.

For One More Day
By: Mitch Albom
Finished Book

I believe the main character of my book changed the most. Charles Benetto is the main character and throughout the whole book he is realizing that he should have done things differently. In the book all he is trying to do is to try to hurt himself...when he finally gets really hurt in a car crash he starts dreaming unconciously and it is about him mom which had died a while back. Throughout the whole dream he is walking with her everywhere and eating with her, he goes to jobs she has and talks to everyone. After a while he starts to realize that everyone she is helping are dying and Charles figures out that maybe he is dying too and so he begins to think back in the past on what he has done. Like how he divorced his wife, let his daughter grow away from him, he thinks about how he could have been a better son and stuck up for his mom when she stuck up for him. Throughout the whole book he starts realizing that he doesn't want to die, but that he wants to go back and fix everything that happened between his wife and his whole family. I think he has changed the most.
Timmothy Meeker has been the character that has changed the most in the book. When his father was taken away by cowboys he had to grow up fast to be able to take care of the Tavern that his mother and father used to take car of together.

The two main characters, Damen and Ever, changed a lot; Damen more than Ever. Damen changed a lot only because he was 'poisoned'. His personality totally flip-flopped. He was a very sweet and sensitive guy who was caring. He was an immortal just like Ever and he had no aurora. Damen loved Ever and cared about her very much. Now, he is mean and not caring guy at all. He doesn't seem to be immortal because he has an aurora and he has been acting very strange. He doesn't love Ever anymore and calls her a stalker and thinks she is a freak. This is the total opposite of how he has felt in the past. Ever changed because she got used to being immortal. She has come to learn to live with her abilities and use them to her advantage.

I would say out of all the characters in the book Clay Jensen has changed the most. Clay had listened to those tapes and has realized that what you say around people can affect them even if you do not realize it. It may even cause the person to kill themself. He learned to think before he acts because sometimes even if you may not think so, someone could get hurt by something you say. Also, another thing he has done that he changed about himself is to not judge people because there is a lot of things you do not know about a person until you really get to know them. Hannah had a ton of secrets hidden inside of her and if Clay would have reached out to her to talk to her about them, she may have not killed herself. Clay has always been a nice guy to everyone most of the times, but now that he knows what can really affect people he can start to tell people to maybe watch what they are saying about someone because it sometimes may not even be true. Clay can change many people by doing this because many people that he is around assume things and do not care to think what the other people have to say. Overall, Clay has changed immensly throughout this book because he has learned many new things to help him be a better person!

I would have to say that Stevie has changed the most. He had to go through many emontions during the book. He went from angry to jealous to confused to jealous again and many others. that has made him change into a better person. He's learned to not get so frustrated over certain things that he can't change. He has also learned to get over things faster and not deal with them as much. Like instead of being mad over a situation for days, he'll get over it in a few hours.

In my book I believe that Hank Bishop has changed the most. Brian had always wanted to meet him and when he finally does, Hank is real mean to him. Hank is always telling brian to leave him alone, do not touch his things, and do not even look at him. Then one day after a game, hank and Brian are the last two out. Thats when Brians' mom comes in and finds the two. hank turns all nicey nice because she is around and stays that way. Hank ends up helping Brian, and Brian helps Hank. When Brians' mom, Lisa, invits Hank for dinner, he is nice from then on. I do not believe anyone changed in this book other than Hank, he changed big time.

Alex Cross has definitely been the character that has changed the most in Roses Are Red. In the beginning of the book, Alex is more concerned with his job/ career than his family. He focuses all of his time and effort on the force and how he can do better for the next detective case. Throughout the plot, Alex starts to realize that Jannie and Damen and Alex Jr. (his kids) need him in their lives. Jannie ends up having a seizure and this is the revolving point in the plot where Alex starts to notice how much his family means to him. He begins to take time off of his cases and comes home early to be with his kids. Towards the end, Alex is completely involved with his kids and realizes the true meaning of family.

The Notebook

The Notebook is about these two couples who had a hot love but the girl left and broke his heart but she realizes it was a mistake. The boy could not forget her he was passionaltely in love wither her like no other she left and never wrote then 14 years later shows up on his door step with some big news that she is engaged. It nearly breaks his heart but why Alli is there she starts rember how things were and that she still loves him rather than her finace. The Notebook has alot of settings it just doesn't have just 1 setting. It all begins in north Carolina in 1946.
The Notebook takes you to when Noah and Alli were younger and to of when they are older.I think if the setting to ever would change the book would not be felt like a romance book, it would leave important things out and would not be fun to read . if a setting changes it most likely ruins the book.

Driving With Dead People
Monica Holloway
pgs 179-244

A majority of the book takes place in Ohio in the 70s and 80s, where the Monica lives with her family. After she graduates from high school, the setting begins to change more, as she is allowed more freedom and travels more. In later parts of the story she goes to graduate school in California and is able to experience new things in a slightly more stable environment. I think that if the time period and location were changed, many things would be different. Her father might have been less cruel had he been raised in another time and place, which would result in changes in Monica's childhood and decisions.

Please Stop Laughing at me. Judy Blanco

This books setting is usually at a school. She has flashbacks throughout the whole book. Most of the time she is getting beat up at school or harassed. I think that if the setting were to change, it wouldnt really change the story. As long as she was still experiencing the same things it wouldnt matter where she would be at.
Storm Breaker
Anthony Horowitz

The main setting of the book is Chelsea, England. Alex is dragged into spy business though, so he ends up in many different places. One is a SAS training camp at an undisclosed location. Another is the "bank" on Liverpool Street which is actually the MI6 headquarters. The next thing he knew, Alex was in Cornwall, England, at the home and operating plant of Herod Sayle. Cornwall is probably the most important setting in the book. It's right by the English Channel so that Alex can witness the incoming mysterious boxes that Sayle is having sent in. Sayle's plant is also right on top of the old Dozmary tin mine, which definately comes in handy later on.

Hangmans curse

pg 4-84

the setting is a school in Washington. it is a normal school except it has a Ghost that is huanting the school because he was picked on when he went to school. it is not a very big school it is easy to get away with a lot of things like picking on other students. it has a metal detector so they cant get any weapons in school. it has a officer from the police department. if it changed it wouldnt be the same. if it was someplace else that is open to the public it would be like a serial killer mystery.

Pg previous - Present =)

The setting of my book right now has been changing constantly. When i started the book alex was being captured and taken to a secret location. This was a kinda like a foreshadowing to what would happen later in the book. This was the whole first chapter and then it went back to the previous 24 hours. Alex was in a hospitle because he was recovering from being shot in a previous book. He ended up getting into some trouble with 4 men and after he beat 3 of them up the fourth one knocked him out and took him to some old abandoned appartments. He was held here for a couple days and then the building was set on fire to try to kill him. alex mirackulously escaped and now he is back in the hospitle. overall the setting in in England. It is summer, and it is taking place during modern times.

I think that if the setting of my book was changed it wouldnt change the book very much. it seems like alex always finds a way to get into trouble and getting hurt. weather he is in a different country or a faraway land he will still be doing the same things.

Life as we knew it

Susan Beth Pfeffer

Pg. 105 - 145

The setting of the book is a small town in the middle of the eastern states. They are not located on the coast and that is a good thing because they would be dead if they were. THe moon has made it flood all over the coast. There town is tiny and has only 5oo people in it. Everyone knows everyone and if the setting changed then the people would lose there good nature and the town would lose its rustic charm. I think that if the setting were in a big city, many people would be fighting and there would be more chaos in there everyday lives. The small town also holds everyone together. People dont leave the town , they try and wait for things to get better, grow there own food and live alone from the world.

7th Heaven

James Patterson

The setting of the book takes place in many different places, but a continuous place for the killers to show up is at humongous houses owned by rich families. In Sansfrancisco, California i'm sure you can picture how large the houses are for those that are well of money wise. The author describes the houses with flourishing gardens, vibrant colors, and a knack for catching anyones eyes. Another main place is the cheif detective's, Lindsay, apartment where her and her boyfriend Joe have just moved in. Their apartment is small and cozy, but they are very comfortable with it and appreciate what they have.

If the book took place in a different setting it could possibly make the connections with the location suffer. The villains are burning down houses of rich people, and this is partly because California has so many forest fires. Where it is also shows that even where crime is worse than usual, good police are fighting to stop the criminals.

My book is titled Fade To Black so far it has been pretty interesting the setting of it is in a car, school, and the guidence counclers office. The main character in my book is Alex and he is HIV possitive hahahahaha sucks to be him but anyway thats besides the point. My favorite part in the book so far is how he got his windshield bashed in with a baseball bat! He dosent know who it was and thats what he's doing now in the part im reading he's trying to find out who did it.

The setting in book is Odessa, Texas. It is a town in Texas that has been described as one of the worst places in the nation to live. It is a barren wasteland. The weather is always hot, and it may not rain for weeks on end. It states that the only reason someone would want to live there is for the small town atmosphere and Permian football. If the setting were changed, the book would change drastically. The fact that Permian football is why they stay there would be depleted. It makes sense that someone would endure terrible living conditions to play for Permian. If it were a nice place to live, everyone would live there and the small town feeling would be gone. They would have to build more schools and there would be an uprising because no one would wasnt to go the new school. Kids would want to wear the black and white of Panther football.

The setting in my book is early 1900s based in England. It usually takes place in battle or at John's house. He is always at camp training others and writing back and forth to his parents. It is in the woods and in battle. If this wasn't based in England and was based in United States I would be able to understand it better. If it was more recent I would understand the time period and what it would be like to live during them.

Denton Hopkins

My book is set in upstate New York, about 4 years ago from present time. In a school, home of an autistic kid who's accepted my everyone. That school is Greece Athena. The school that bares black and gold. There's a kid that loves more to wear those colors more than anyone, Jason McElwain. His peers and community are very accepting if him and his disorder of autism. If they were not accepting of him it could make an already tough life ten times tougher. People in the upstate area often stare at him, but the ones at his school and that are close to him see him as normal as possible. He's just a little slower.

The setting of this book takes place in the town of Asheville, North Carolina in present day time, but it is spread out in many places throughout the story. It starts on a cold, dark night in the mountains when the main conflict happens and then switches from the big school of Asheville High to the hospital. The setting is very important especially in the beginning, because if it wasn't dark outside or on a mountain then Quin would've been able to see Analise and wouldn't of hit her. If the setting would have changed then most of the story would be different. If it wasn't placed in the mountains then the main part of the book wouldn't of happened and the book wouldn't be interesting at all.

The Mentor Leader
By Tony Dungy
Pg. 80

My book is different from a lot of books. It doesn't really have a setting. The Mentor Leader mostly talks about the principles of leadership. There isn't a lot of setting in this book. It is informational, but Tony Dungy tells stories to help get his point across, so if there is a setting in one section, it will most likely change in the near future. In one of Dungy's stories, the Colts football team is at their stadium signing autographs on fan day. Other times it talks about their times in practice or Dungy's previous coaching job in Tampa Bay. The setting isn't a huge part of this book, and it changes often, so I don't think that it would affect the book if the setting changed. It talks about general principles that work for all people and is more of a teaching book than a story, so if the setting changed, the principles would still stay the same, unless maybe it was a different culture with completely different values.

Sam's Letters to Jennifer
by James Patterson
pg.110
This book starts off in modern Chicago where Jennifer, the main character lives and works. She has a nice apartment which is far to empty now that the love of her life is no longer there to share it with her. Before you can learn too much about her life Jen runs off to a relaxing lake side suburb where her grandmother, Sam, lives. But Jen isn't there for just another friendly visit, she's there to visit Sam in the hospital who has just gone into a coma. There is also another setting you experience from the letters Sam has left for Jen. It's the setting from her past, the lake side house from years before. The setting could easily be changed to California without much change to the book but one detail needs to stay the same where ever the setting is... it needs to have a place to surf since that's how Jen lost her love. That loss is what makes her who she is.

Letters to God
Patrick Doughtie & John Perry
Pg. 95
The setting in this novel takes place mostly at home. They spend as much time as possible at home because they love to be with each other. A little time is spent at the hospital when Patrick was involved in the car accident. They also spend some time at Ty's soccer games and playing outside. For the most part, they are inside their house. If they did not spend as much time in their house together, it would seem like they were not such a loving family. They love spending time with each other and cherishing each others moments, and that is what this novel is about: family and the obstacles they must overcome.

What Happened to Janie By Carolyn B. Cooney

What happened to Janie takes place at various places through out the book. The mystery of Janie's kidnapping is finally coming to a close, but she is still unsure who she is at this point in time.
Janie's real parents decided to put her in with a loving family. The Johnsons love Janie very much, but  it's still difficult to draw the right conclusion based on the evidence. If I could change one thing about the setting, it would be to make it a more friendlier place. Start off by describing the positives and then slowly go into the negatives.
Return to Paradise
By Simone Elkeles
End of book.

The main setting in this book is the dorms Maggie and Caleb's Re-Start group stays at. If the setting changed, the entire plot would change. They had to be forced into a dorm with eachother and other people, or there would be no conflict. They also had to be with Damon, or they could never convince Caleb to tell his secret. The other setting is Spain, but we don't actually read about it much. If Maggie didn't go to Spain, then Caleb and her would never realize that even when they are far apart, they were still meant to be.

Blue Moon
Alyson Noel
pg. 198

The setting in my book takes place mostly in the school Ever and Damon go to. Also it takes place at Ever's house, Damon's house, and Summerland. If the setting changed, some of the plot would change. If it wouldn't take place at Ever or Damon's house, Ever would have to find a new place to learn new tricks for being immortal. There is no specific place marked in the school that has to be in the book if the setting changed. The most they talk about the school is when they are in classrooms. As long as part of the setting takes place in a school, it would work out fine. Summerland really doesn't matter if the setting changes because you can just manifest a portal to go there...It doesn't matter where you are at.
