I just started this book two days ago, so I don't know the characters that well. I guess I would make Mattie's father a big mean dog, because he is always grumpy and works a lot. I would make mattie and Weaver owls, because they both love learning and reading, and owls are very wise. Also, Mattie is hiding a secret, and I always thought of owls as being secretive animals. I would make Abby a rabbitt because she is quiet and calm. Lou would be a houndog, because she is a tomboy who likes to go fishing and do stuff that houndogs do.
