Did you enjoy the ending of your book? Why or why not? Describe an alternate ending and why it would or wouldn't be as good a choice as the ending the author chose.

Chads Blog

I believe that the dad (Rudyard) has changed the most. He was always frustrated and mad after he was removed from the war because of his poor eyesight. He was always in a bad mood and this changed after his son (John) had good enough eyes to make it into the war if he went to a specialist regularly. This has mad dad an extremely happy man and has a whole new outlook of life.

  1. I'm not sure i would be happy about my son being able to go off to war. In fact I would probably be rather upset. Why does the dad want him to fight so badly?
