To Build a Fire
By Jack London
End of Book
I would say that the most important part of this story so far is when the dog fell through the ice and went into the river. It's not a good thing, but it saved the man's life because he knew now not to go that way. If the dog didn't lead then he wouldn't of known the ice was thin there and would most likely be dead because of hypothermia. So without this the book would of ended a long time ago because the man would be dead. So this is a very important part of the story.

  1. That is a bad deal for the dog. Was he okay? Did he save the dog?
