The antagonist in this book, is the Clifton police/owners. These people have created a world to make money and do research and many people in this world are dying because they are not given any medicine. These antagonists don't care people are dying and are just going along with there work. When the protagonist, Jessie tries to escape and find medicine the Clifton men track her down and threaten to kill her. They don't want word getting out that people in Clifton are dying.

  1. Your book sounds very interesting. So the Clifton men don't want anyone else to have their medicine because they want all the money for it? That sounds like they are completely self-centered people.
