Such a Pretty Girl By Laura Wiess Nellie Wilson Page 91 Period 7

Ever since I started to read this book it has been very hard to put it down. Thanks Mrs. Sheffield!! So far Meredith is a fifteen girl who's father was sent away for nine years. Now, he is home just after three years. Meredith is afraid her father will do the same things to her and other children before he got sent away. Meredith reminds me of puppy. She needs love, that she never gets at her own home; and support, just knowing she will be safe even when her father may be near her and other children. Her father reminds me of a tiger, he will do whatever it takes to get what he wants and get out of trouble, if he would get caught. Like when he got sent to prison for nine years for Child Molesting. Her mother reminds me of a Dog because she will do anything to keep her reputation in tack. Meredith's mom told Meredith that she would run away with her father, if she had told lies to he police. Her boyfriend, Andy, is like a cat who lost his legs in a accident after his own father died in a car accident. He bounces, does what he is told and takes care of Meredith, even though he needs more caring for than Meredith.

  1. My book also has a daughter searching for love from her father, and I also compared her to a puppy. I thought it was interesting how we both related that situation to that animal. This book sounds like it has a lot of conflict in it and full of suspense. Do you think that the father will end up hurting the daughter?

  2. I just finished this book and the father ended up raping her. Meredith and her mother just found out that he was a sex offender! Scary!! I also find it pretty cool that we both said they were a puppy!
