I would say out of all the characters in the book Clay Jensen has changed the most. Clay had listened to those tapes and has realized that what you say around people can affect them even if you do not realize it. It may even cause the person to kill themself. He learned to think before he acts because sometimes even if you may not think so, someone could get hurt by something you say. Also, another thing he has done that he changed about himself is to not judge people because there is a lot of things you do not know about a person until you really get to know them. Hannah had a ton of secrets hidden inside of her and if Clay would have reached out to her to talk to her about them, she may have not killed herself. Clay has always been a nice guy to everyone most of the times, but now that he knows what can really affect people he can start to tell people to maybe watch what they are saying about someone because it sometimes may not even be true. Clay can change many people by doing this because many people that he is around assume things and do not care to think what the other people have to say. Overall, Clay has changed immensly throughout this book because he has learned many new things to help him be a better person!

    It sounds like Clay has changed a lot! It sounds like her learned to be a much better person, even though there may have been some consequences along the way. I see you finished your book! Did you like it? Did you like Clay as a character?

    Clay seems like he has changed a lot and sounds like he could be a real friend. In the book does he figure out what the tapes exactly say? Do you relate to the book at all in anyway or relate to any of the characters.

    I read this book and I would have to agree with you. After Hannah's death it seemed like he changed a lot and has a new perspective on life. You can really tell that he does not judge people and he thinks before he acts. Do you think the other people that Hannah talked about in her tapes feel the same way that Clay does?
