The Tenth Circle
Jodi Picoult
Finished book

I would ask Trixie Stone why she believes that hurting herself is the only way to escape her fear of facing people and being confident in herself. She cuts her wrists because she does not feel like she should even belong on this Earth all because her boyfriend broke up with her and refused to get back with her. Also, I would ask her why she did not just come clean in the beginning of the plot with the truth about what really happened that night at the party. If she would not have lied about what her ex-boyfriend did to her that night, she would not feel like she did not belong. She would not have to worry what other people would think about her and trying to impress them. This led to her suffering from self-inflicted pain. Lastly, I would ask her why she feels like she can not be close with her parents. Why does she feel like she has no one to lean on? Her mom is opening her heart to her, and her father is trying to lend his hands, but Trixie refuses the offers. Why does she have to be so stubborn. If she would have had someone to confide in, I really do not believe she would have hurt herself or others along the way.
