What happened to Janie takes place at various places through out the book. The mystery of Janie's kidnapping is finally coming to a close, but she is still unsure who she is at this point in time.
Janie's real parents decided to put her in with a loving family. The Johnsons love Janie very much, but it's still difficult to draw the right conclusion based on the evidence. If I could change one thing about the setting, it would be to make it a more friendlier place. Start off by describing the positives and then slowly go into the negatives.
